8. Fisherman’s Village
Away from the busiest area, there is a gorgeous little fishing village called Bophut. 9. Maenam Beach
Maenam is approximately 5 – 7 km. from the centre. You can have a great walk on the beach. Especially, in the early morning or during sunset that makes you get into a very romantic moment. However, it’s not always possible to walk the full length due to the tides. There is a weekly walking street (Thursday nights), a few Thai temples and a Chinese temple. When the Chinese immigrants came into the island through Koh Samui, they decided to settle at Chaweng. They built the beautiful Wat Jee Kong temple.
